How much does it cost to buy property
in Spain?
|
To help you work out what are the costs
are when buying a property in Spain, we have listed the normal costs
associated when buying property.

- TAX: 7%
for both resale and new build
- Stamp
duty: 0.3-1% of property value
- Legal
fees: about €1,500 - € 2,000
- Notary
fees: about 500 euros
- Property
registration fees: 150 euros
We normally advise our clients to allow 10% for costs
as this should easily cover any fees and you should get some change back.
(Remember you do not have to add extra commission on top of our prices as we
only charge the seller and not the buyer).
It might also be worth noting that the deposit paid
when exchanging the private contract is to be paid as cash or a bank
transfer. This will secure the property immediately.
Please note that this is only a rough guideline and is not contractual.
